Providers in New Zealand) and they are as follows:
Placement first - Training delivered
on the job as required.
Wages and conditions reflective of the
rest of the workforce- award wages or above.
Universal eligibility - No one refused
service due to the perceived level of impairment.
Individualised approach - The client
determines what / how much support they require.
Ongoing support - Support is offered
for as long as the client needs / wants it.
Career development - accepting that people
change so do requirements regarding work and this is a fluid
and ongoing part of personal growth.
